stories in science

Started over 6 years ago by Amie Norton.

I just wanted to share this resource. It is stories from current scientist about challenges they have overcame. From disabilities to being first generation college students. The stories come from all around the world. Here is my story as an example https://storiesinscience.org/2017/11/26/weakness-becomes-strength/

Amie, What an inspiring story. These should definitely be shared with our kids. I know that they have felt various levels of self-doubt, sometimes in my classroom. Thanks for being an inspiration!

Amie, Thank you so much for sharing your story and this incredibly inspiring resource. From my own experiences, hearing about others overcoming challenges and obstacles has helped me through some more difficult times in my life. Of all the lessons we can teach our students, teaching them to have hope and believe they can overcome any and all obstacles is something far greater than any chemistry we can pass on to them. Thank you again for sharing. Matt
