Energy/Thermochemistry

Hey guys, for my regular chemistry class we will be starting the energy/thermochemistry unit.  I'm always looking for better activities.  Do any of you guys have some awesome things you have done with this topic?

    I am curious, what kid of food do you use in the lab? We have strayed away from this one in our school b/c we were using peanuts and some kids have severe nut allergies. I have seen online people use cheetos or marshmallows?

    These look way better that what I have to share. I was going to say you can get a nice heating curve for lauric acid, or look at hot packs or cold packs. Thanks for sharing guys!
