    You might want to attend our January 17th webinar: (http://bit.ly/2zGF7n6) Use Other People's Money to Enhance Your Classroom. Learn about grant opportunities available to high school chemistry teachers from the American Chemical Society and the process for writing a fundable proposal. Presenter Kenetia Thompson works in the Education Division of the American Chemical Society and oversees the grant programs. Co-presenter Karen Kaleuati also works in the Education Division and oversees the ACS ChemClubs program. They will be joined by past grant recipients who will talk about the process and how they used their funding. The following programs will be discussed: • ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Classroom Grant funds laboratory equipment and supplies, instructional materials, professional development, field trips, and student-let science outreach events. High school teachers can apply for up to $1500 between February 1st and April 14th each year. • ACS-Hach Professional Development Grant funds conference and workshop registration fees, travel expenses, tuition for new or upcoming courses, books, online instructional resources, and substitute teacher pay.High school chemistry teachers can apply for up to $1,500 between October 15th and January 4th each year. • ChemClub Community Activities Grant funds science related activities planned by ChemClub members for their community.Applications for up to $500 are accepted between April 1st and June 1st each year.
