Apply Now to be Part of our K–8 Writing Team

AACT is putting together a team of K–8 teachers to create classroom lesson plans that support specified chemistry content in the elementary and middle school classrooms. Selected participants will earn $1,000!

If you are a current K–5 science teacher or 6–8 physical science teacher we encourage you to apply.

The required kickoff webinar held in early February will cover introductions, basic instructions, and expectations. From February until June teachers will work both independently and cooperatively with team members to develop original teaching resources that will be aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Teachers are expected to be actively involved with the content writing team, providing peer review, sharing ideas and giving feedback as required from February through June. Team members will also need to be available to participate in several virtual team meetings throughout the writing process. All contributing team members will receive a $1,000 stipend upon completion of the writing process.
