During this webinar, Amanda Horan gives a general overview of various ways to provide opportunities to students to think deeply about chemistry in both first-year and AP Chemistry, including POGIL-like activities, whiteboard problem-solving, and inquiry lab activities designed to lead to post-lab discussions. 

Amanda is a chemistry, physics, and AP Chemistry teacher at Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, IN. She entered teaching as a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow after working as a chemical engineer. This is her 12th year teaching high school science. Amanda is an AMTA Modeling Instruction workshop leader and is active in sharing and developing ideas with fellow chemistry teachers through #chemtwitter.
