ChemClub Spotlight: Health Careers High School

Health Careers High School in San Antonio, TX launched just this year. So far, two individuals from the club competed in the San Antonio area Chem Olympiad competition, placing second and fourth and qualifying for the national exam. 

Their first meeting was so large, they had to meet in the library because they couldn't fit everyone into one classroom. 

The club participates in occasional fundraising such as making Valentine's Day "Chem-grams" with chemistry-themed Valentine's Day candy for students to buy and send to friends. They raised approximately $150 for lab supplies to support their club activities.
