Getting Involved with Science Coaches Mark as Favorite (0 Favorites)
WEBINAR (35 minutes) recorded June 02, 2016
Join Patti Galvan, program administrator for the Science Coaches program, and Shannon Morey, chemistry teacher at East Boston High School and 2016 participant in the Science Coaches program, as they outline the benefits of the program for the teachers and chemists that are involved.
Science Coaches is an American Chemical Society educational outreach initiative dedicated to enhancing science skills in students across the United States. The program pairs chemists with AACT teacher members in elementary, middle, and high schools. Teachers accepted into the program will have the opportunity to form a valuable relationship with a chemist who volunteers in their classroom, or interacts through a digital forum. Learn about the two ways you can participate in science coaches: Science Coaches One-on-One and Science Coaches Groups. Applications are accepted May - September.
