Molympics: Celebrating 10 years of competition Mark as Favorite (1 Favorite)
WEBINAR (44 minutes) recorded October 12, 2022
In this webinar, Doug Ragan explains how to create a Molympics event for your classroom. Molympics is a free event designed by several devoted high school Chemistry teachers who have developed laboratory activities involving the skills of estimation, measurement, dimensional analysis, problem-solving, and fun! You are invited, but not required, to join the friendly competition against other schools or simply run the events within your classroom. Whichever you choose, all activities will be explained during this webinar so that you can run a successful Molympics with your students. Activities this year include bottle flipping molecules, Avogadro's fitness challenge, and stopper towers to name a few. Supplies needed to run the events are common household and science laboratory materials. Links for registering and teacher preparation information will be provided during the webinar. Happy Mole Day and we hope you and your students will join us for Molympics as we celebrate our 10th year of competitions.
