Discover, Explore, and Engage: Back-to-School Multimedia Resources

By AACT on October 5, 2026

AACT has an ever-growing library of multimedia resources across many chemistry topics. These fun and engaging digital resources include simulations, animations, games, and videos that can help students practice skills and calculations with real-time feedback, visualize chemistry at the particle level, and learn about the past, present, and future of chemistry.

The resources highlighted on the list below are only some of the great multimedia resources available to AACT members! These ones are related to topics commonly taught in the early part of the school year. Some might be old favorites, and others are relatively new, so be sure to check them out and make sure you haven't overlooked anything that might be perfect for your class!

Our personal favorite - Escape Room: Chemistry Basics! A challenging escape-room-style game combining many  beginning-of-the-year topics into six puzzles that require students to apply a broad range of chemistry knowledge and skills to solve.

**Please note that simulations and games are accessible to students without a login, but animations and videos would require teachers to generate a student pass if they wanted students to be able to view them on their own.**
