One of the biggest hurdles for many teachers is dispelling misconceptions, especially when students already have those misconceptions ingrained. In this webinar, Nora Walsh will share ideas teachers can use to design lessons so that students have early opportunities to explore content in ways that prevent common misconceptions and errors from taking root. Items will range from simple, small bites that can be incorporated into existing presentations, materials, or practice to full lesson ideas. Participants in the webinar will leave with ready-to-go items. The general approach will be focused on student evaluation rather than teacher explanation to foster deep thought, conversation, and understanding.
